By separating the point of impact for both runner and first baseman, this double base avoids physical contact. With four steel spikes and three nylon web straps, the double first base can be locked into place and removed easily. As well, the foam filled base is soft upon impact, preventing injuries to ankles, knees, and legs upon impact.
