Pace control for workouts and race day. Build workouts from desktop and make practical trackside adjustments from mobile. Software is included with every system. LED track pacing lights are sequential lights placed along a running track. Software illuminates them in order so the visible signal moves at a programmed pace. Stridelane light modules are designed to remain visible in daylight for athletes, coaches, and spectators. Visibility varies with weather, viewing angle, placement, and color selection, so high-contrast colors are recommended in bright sun. Railing shown NOT included.

Pacing lights translate a time goal into a moving visual reference. The system does not measure the official result. It shows the target while the meet’s approved timing system records performance.

The category is described in several ways: pacing lights, pace lights, LED pacing systems, visual pacing systems, and informally, wave lights or wavelights. Wavelight is also the name of a specific branded system. Stridelane is an independent pacing-light company and system.

The software is designed for practical use by coaches and meet staff. Build pace plans from a desktop computer, then make trackside adjustments from a phone or tablet. Stridelane provides setup guidance so the program can prepare workouts and race plans confidently. The core idea remains the same across the category: place individually controlled lights around a known track distance, calculate when each position should illuminate, then synchronize the sequence to a start.

Freelap can be used to time fly-in sprints, splits, block starts, tempo runs, recovery times, laps, long and triple jump runway speed, football combine 10 and 40-yard dash, agility patterns, to name a few. It is used on the track, football and soccer fields, basketball courts, mountain bike paths, ski slopes, swimming pools, and hockey rinks.

Freelap can be set up in less than a minute. Simply turn on the transmitters and place them on the track or field and begin training. Coaches can set up a 30 meter fly-in sprint in the time it takes them to walk 30 meters.

Freelap is designed to support both the individual athlete and team training. Masters and elite athletes who coach themselves now have the ability to accurately time every sprint of every practice. Coaches who train a team can collect data on all their athletes.

The Freelap components are small and lightweight and many configurations fit in a compact, sturdy case or cinch bag. The small size makes the system convenient for travel. Trainers and athletes can travel with their timing system and continue to train while on the road or at away meets.

Unlike photocell timing systems, Freelap can time multiple athletes simultaneously. For example, Freelap can time several sprinters performing fly-in 30 meter sprints on the inside lanes while timing mid-distance runners performing 200 meter tempo runs in the outside lanes. All of the components are mix and match; components can be purchased in kits or individually.

Freelap can be used to time fly-in sprints, splits, block starts, tempo runs, recovery times, laps, long and triple jump runway speed, football combine 10 and 40-yard dash, agility patterns, to name a few. It is used on the track, football and soccer fields, basketball courts, mountain bike paths, ski slopes, swimming pools, and hockey rinks.

Freelap is designed to support both the individual athlete and team training. Masters and elite athletes who coach themselves now have the ability to accurately time every sprint of every practice. Coaches who train a team can collect data on all their athletes.

The Freelap components are small and lightweight and many configurations fit in a compact, sturdy case or cinch bag. The small size makes the system convenient for travel. Trainers and athletes can travel with their timing system and continue to train while on the road or at away meets.

Unlike photocell timing systems, Freelap can time multiple athletes simultaneously. For example, Freelap can time several sprinters performing fly-in 30 meter sprints on the inside lanes while timing mid-distance runners performing 200 meter tempo runs in the outside lanes. All of the components are mix and match; components can be purchased in kits or individually.

The  Tx Junior Pro Transmitter (6″ yellow cone)  is a portable battery-powered device that triggers the Freelap FxChip. A single TX Junior can be used to time laps, or a single TX Junior can be used in combination with the TX Touch, or a pair of TX Juniors can be used to time short sprints. e-Starter-(included in some packages) is the ideal solution to manage the starting process of most of sports or disciplines for which reaction time is important. In track and field, where a gold medal can be decided in hundredths of a second, the reaction time can be decisive. Reaction time is now taken into account.

The Freelap TX Touch transmitter is designed for block starts and three-point football starts. The athlete places a thumb on the transmitter, and as the thumb comes off the transmitter, the FxChip is triggered. The TX Touch has a non-replaceable lithium battery that is rated for 15,000 starts. The accuracy is 1/100 seconds. The TX Touch has a solid construction and is water resistant.

The e-Starter is used to initiate automatic gun starts and capture reaction time when used with the FxMotion chip.

The Tx Junior Pro transmitter can be used for all types of starts including standing, three-point, four-point, block, rolling, and flying starts and to collect split times.
